Eye infections are common and can affect individuals of any age and gender. The eye infection can be categorized into different names in human beings such as; trachoma, conjunctivitis & blepharitis. These infections spread easily in the human beings and can even make big issues like the blurred vision, blindness and even damage to the optic nerve. Some other disease like the STD, Crab lice, Contact dermatitis, Allergies, Sarcoidosis &Tuberculosis can cause eye infection in the humans. Here we will discuss some of the home remedies to cure eye infections.

Honey: HoneyHoney is a natural anti-biotic and it contains anti- fungal properties along with anti-inflammatory properties. For the pink eye honey is the most suitable agent as it contains high levels of di-hydroxy acetones. You need to mix 1/4 teaspoon of raw honey with 1/4 teaspoon warm of water and boil it slightly and than cool down.After that, use a clean dropper to drop 1-2 drops of that mixture into your eyes in every few hours. 

Tea Bags: Tea bagsTea bags soaked in cold water for few seconds and then placed on closed eyes can provide immediate relief from burning sensation in the eyes by cooling them.

Boric Acid: Boric acidBoric acid is highly useful in case of eye infection as it contains antifungal, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. The ingredients most of the fruit and vegetables contain boric acid and the patient must take a sufficient amount of green vegetables to reduce the chances of eye infection. You can dilute boric acid with water and should apply it on the outer side of the eye to get better results during infections.

Chamomile: ChamomileChamomile is a powerful anti-inflammatory remedy during the bacterial infection as it contains soothing and calmative properties. You need to boil 2 tea bags of chamomile with 3 cups of water and after cooling it, apply a few drops of this water to your eye. On the other hand you can also deep clean cloth inside the mixture and compress it to the infected eye for 15 minutes. This procedure should be repeated for 2 to 3 times per day to reduce any kinds of eye infections.
