Yoga exercises can help to keep eye muscles sharp as well as relax the eyes. These  yoga exercises for eyes are easy to do and can be done anywhere and anytime. Eye exercises also let you learn how to maintain optimal eye health such as avoiding eye strain and excessive near-point stress and keeping the eye moist. Below are some effective yoga exercises for eyes. Follow these exercises for a few months for best result.

Palming

Palming is a great cool down exercise. Sit comfortably in a chair or mat with a straight back. Rub your hands together for 10 to 15 seconds until they feel warm. Then gently place your hands over your eyes, with the fingertips resting on the forehead, the palms over the eyes, and the heels of the hands resting on the cheeks. This simple yoga exercises for eyes improves the blood circulation and can be done quite frequently to get rid of tiredness and puffiness of the eyes.

Blinking


Yoga exercises for eyes includes Blinking which helps keep the eyes moist and tension-free, and increases circulation in the eyes. Sit comfortably with your open eyes. Blink around 10 to 15 times very quickly. Close your eyes and relax for 20 seconds. Take deep breath. This exercise should be repeated every waking hour for two weeks and then at least four times a day.

Massage

Massage
Massage is a common treatment to relieve tension or stress. Rub your hands together to warm them and then rub the fingers on the nose and eyebrows and massage them. Then rub the fingers from the nose to the cheekbones and to the ears. Finally, run your fingers across your forehead. this yoga exercises for eyes will give you desired results.

Eye Rotations – Up and Down

Raise your eyes and find a small point that you can see clearly without straining, without frowning, without becoming tense and without moving your head. While doing this exercise look at this point each time you raise your eyes. Breathing should be normal. Move your eyes upwards as far as you can, and then downwards as far as you can. Repeat for 10 times. Blink quickly a few times, then close your eyes and rest.

Eye Rotations – Right and Left

Now do the same using points to your right and to your left, at eye level. Keep your fingers or two pencils on each side as guides and adjust them so that you can see them clearly when moving the eyes to the right and to the left, but without straining. Keeping the fingers at eye level, and moving only the eyes, look to the right at your chosen point, then to the left. Repeat for 10 times. Blink several times, then close your eyes and rest.
