Smart phones are high end mobile phones which combine the features of personal digital assistants and mobile phones creating a powerful, portable communication tool. Now a days, nearly 40 percent of children between the ages of 2 and 4 often found some mobile device in their hands. Using smartphones is not good for small kids. Excessive use of smartphones at an early age can trigger poor eye sight for kids. Their eyes would constantly fixed on the phone screen which can also be a cause for headaches and even migraines at a very young age.
Text Claw & Cell Phone Elbow
Text Claw is a non-medical term used to describe all of the finger cramping and sore muscles that come when kids continuous scrolling, texting, and gaming on smartphones. Similarly, cell phone elbow describes tingling or numbness in ring and pinky fingers after bending your elbow for long periods of time.
Effects on study
Smartphones also effects on the student study. The overuse of smartphone is that students might spent less time on their studies or homework. Those times are misspent on gaming and chatting with friends with the smartphone. Also, students spent less time on sleeping due to the distractions from the smartphones.
In Today’s generation children and teenagers is suffering adult injuries such as neck pain, headache because of the amount of time spent using smartphones. More usage of smartphones can injure your neck. The posture as we stare at our phones, if we continuously use the phones with the same posture, then it increases the stress on the neck and can cause excessive wear and tear that may eventually require an operation to correct it.
