It is very common for a small baby to suffer from diaper rash. The tight diaper inhibits the air flow and the soiled diaper cause irritations in the babies. If diaper rash isn’t treated, it can cause a yeast or bacterial infection. The symptom includes red skin, frequent irritation and skin damage on the back portion of the babies. Natural care is the best healing process for this kind of infections. Here are the home remedies for diaper rash.

Coconut Oil: Coconut oilCoconut oil has antifungal and antimicrobial properties. It is rich in vitamin E, which helps a lot in getting rid of the rash. It can also have a soothing and healing effect on the baby’s soft skin. The baby should be massaged with coconut oil for 15 minutes before they take the nap. Then the parents need to rinse that area with mild soap and lukewarm water. It will help kill yeast like candida that causes diaper rash.

Olive Oil: Olive oilThe chemical constituent of olive oil contains anti-septic properties along with routing and oleuropein. These chemicals are particularly effective for fungal or bacterial infections. Apply a few drops of olive oil in the lower back areas of the baby, four times a day. This oil creates a protective barrier and soothing effect around the baby skin to prevent rash.

Cornstarch: CornstarchCornstarch helps a lot in drying the damp areas and in reducing the friction caused by elastic diapers. Apply gently on the affected rash areas to smooth the skin and relieve irritation. 

Baking Soda: Baking sodaBaking soda has healing properties that can help treat diaper rash. Add two tablespoons of baking soda to a tub of warm water and give your baby a bath in it. Bathe the baby in the water for 10 minutes, three times a day. Use a dry washcloth to lightly pat the skin dry before putting on a clean diaper.

Choose Diaper: Choose The Diaper As Per Your Baby’s SkinWhen the baby is getting diaper rash then parents should experiment with different brands of diapers to know which brand is suitable to their baby’s skin. Because the skin reacts differently with different skins of the babies and in this way the diaper rash becomes less effective.
