Lemon juice is one of the simplest home remedy for yellow nails as it helps to remove yellow stains from the nails. Lemon is a natural bleaching agent. Squeeze the juice of half of a lemon into a bowl. Soak your nails in the lemon juice for 10-15 minutes. Then use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub the yellow discoloration off your nails. After this, rinse your hands with lukewarm water. Repeat this process daily for a few weeks to whiten and brighten your nails.
Mix one tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide with two and half tablespoon of baking soda in a bowl. Use cotton balls to apply the mixture on the stained nails. Leave it for 5 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Repeat this process daily.
Toothpaste can also be used to remove yellow stains from nails. Simply apply a bit of whitening toothpaste to each nail and rub it in. Let it sit for a five minutes and then wash off with lukewarm. Repeat the process two or three times per week for a month.
Denture cleaning tablets are effective ingredient to clean off yellow stains from your nails. The two most common ingredients found in denture cleaning tablets are sodium bicarbonate and citric acid, which help remove many kinds of stains. Take 2 or 3 tablets in a bowl of lukewarm water. Soak your nails in the water for 15 minutes. After this, rinse it off with normal water and apply moisturizer on your hands. Repeat this process two or three times in a week.
Mix half cup of apple cider vinegar with half cup of lukewarm water. Soak your nails in this mixture for 20 minutes. After this, rinse it off with normal water. do this process daily for a few weeks for best result.
