Bad bugs can be described as small, round, brown-colored insects that feed on the blood of animals and humans. When they feed, their bodies grow or swell and become radish in color. The most common areas of occurrence of these bites are neck, hands, face and arms. Here are the simple remedies by which you can get rid of these bed bug bites.
Baking Soda: Baking soda helps in controlling the inflammation and itching problems due to the bite. Baking soda also helps in neutralising the chemicals that the bug leaves in the skin at the time of bite. Make a paste of baking soda and water. Take 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 3 teaspoons of water. Apply this paste on the affected areas and leave it on for 10-20 minutes. Than wash the area.
Ice pack: Ice is very effective in providing relief from the bug bites. It reduce the itching and also control the swelling effectively. Hold an ice pack or some ice wrapped in a thin towel on the affected area for about 10 to 15 minutes. So, you should apply ice pack on the skin where you are bitten by the bugs.
Aloe Vera Gel: Aloe vera gel is soothes the bitten areas and controls the itching symptom. Aloe vera gel is also very helpful in treating the rashes and redness on the skin. It also prevents the risk of infection and allergies due to the bug bites. Extract the gel from the aloe vera leaf. Apply this gel on the affected areas. Store the remaining gel in the refrigerator and apply it few times in a day.
Toothpaste: Toothpaste is another effective remedy for bug bites. It provides relief from the burning sensation. Simply dab some toothpaste onto the affected area. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse it off with normal water.
Apple Cider Vinegar: Apple cider vinegar is an anti-inflammatory and it helps the skin to heal and reduce the rashes completely. Apply apple cider vinegar on your skin to treat the bug bites. Apply apple cider vinegar on the affected areas. Allow it to dry and then rinse it off.
Lemon Juice: Lemon juice is very helpful as it controls the itching and the inflammation due to the bed bug bites. The anti bacterial properties of lemon juice helps in preventing the infection and also treats the rashes completely. Dip a cotton ball in lemon juice. Apply it on the affected area. Let it dry and then rinse it off.
Tea Bags: Tea bags are very handy product and can be easily used as an effective remedy to cure the bite from the bed bugs. The anti inflammatory properties of tea bags are very useful in reducing all the symptoms and it also heals the skin from the damage.
